I am missing…

this boy! He has been gone for a week and I have missed him today. I know that he is having a good time so that makes it okay. He hasn’t called us one time but I knew that he wouldn’t. He has posted what he is doing on Facebook so I am in the loop and I know that he is having the time of his life.

The house is quiet, there are no empty Mountain Dew cans by his bed, and I haven’t been picked on one time in the past week.

I also haven’t had my TV buddy at night, haven’t had a goodnight kiss on the forehead, or heard “love ya” while he's going up the stairs.

The house will be quiet for another week and then my boy comes home.

Right where his mama wants him!

Pioneer Woman’s Mac & Cheese

I love macaroni and cheese. I like it cooked on the stovetop with a rue or custard style baked in the oven.

I really wanted to love this recipe and I thought that I would. I used sharp white cheddar and it was really strong. Gary didn’t like the white like he does the regular.

It was easy to make but I made a mess while making it:-)

Verdict: good but not a keeper. Gary definitely likes mine better. He loves the custard style the best. I liked it when it first came out of the oven but when I heated it up the next day, it wasn’t good. It had separated and wasn’t creamy. It also made a large amount. I ended up throwing it away:(

Hopefully next week I will have better luck.

I {heart} Target!

I love me some Target. I guess that I am no different from the rest of the world:) Or I should say no different than the rest of us girls.

This purse had my name all over it. It was calling me as soon as I walked through the door.

I love everything about it. The color, the shape, & the woven part.

I also like that it’s a little bit hippy looking. I could so go there with my clothing much to Gary’s dismay;-)
